You do not need twenty apps to run an eCommerce brand well. Most brands can cover the core of selling online with four systems: a store, a way to get paid, a way to talk to customers and a way to run the back office.

1. The storefront

Where products, orders, stock and customer records live, and where the buyer checks out. If it is not the single home for your orders, everything downstream gets harder.

2. Payments

Your payment setup decides which methods buyers can use, and whether payments are matched to orders without anyone checking a phone.

3. Conversations

Many buyers start in a DM. The right setup answers common questions fast and moves serious buyers to the checkout.

4. The back office

Stock, accounts and team workflows. When these sit in separate places, the founder ends up as the link between them.

The tools matter less than how they connect.

How to tell if your systems are working

  • An order flows from checkout to delivery without anyone retyping it
  • Payments match orders without screenshots
  • You can answer "what sold last month?" in minutes

If any of these feel far off, the gap is usually in how the systems connect, not the systems themselves.
